As transient as they are
the blooming buds are like snapshots of memories.
They come and go and
in the flicker of an eye they are gone.
The flowers are a reminder of what has come and gone.
Like your father and my own.
The vibrant colors highlight the beauty of life in all its pain and joys.
They survive in the desert and in the iridescent colors they display
I know that those memories will always be my own.
in progress...

Such beautiful words Sarah! Danielle is losing a close friend to cancer and has flown out to LA to say goodbye. She will leave behind her two yr. old son and a loving husband.
Life is so fragile…
love you,
Catherine
